Karen is a Registered Nurse that has served the medical community for many years. Karen’s nursing experience started in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Surgical Stepdown Unit at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville, IL.
While her children were young, she worked with the geriatric population and the mentally and physically disabled adults, as a staff nurse and director of clinical services.
Karen continued to work in various surgical units as a staff and charge nurse at the hospital. She furthered her career working as a Nursing Supervisor in Home Health and Infusion Services and was promoted to Client Services Director and then to Branch Manager.
Karen has been an employee with Washington University for the past 17 years, having worked with the Department of Surgery in various capacities as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator with General and Vascular Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery.
Karen has been employed by the department of Medicine Multispecialty Center for six months as the Charge Nurse and is thrilled to be a part of MMC.
