Greetings, I have over 23 years of experience in the Medical Laboratory field. I’ve spent 21 of those years serving in the United States Air Force (AF), where I received my degree in both the Laboratory and Healthcare Management. I’ve had the pleasure of working in Hematology, Immunology, Blood Bank, Chemistry and Microbiology. During those 21 years, we have resided in California, Texas, South Carolina, D.C. and Illinois.
I’ve served as Supervisor Immunology/Blood Bank and Assistant Supervisor Armed Services Blood Donor Center National Capital Area. The last 3 years of my AF career I held the position of Supervisor Microbiology and Lab Quality Assurance. After my retirement, I was hired as a Medical Technologist Chemistry Lab Barnes-Jewish Hospital South Campus.
I am fortunate in that I found my niche. I especially love what we bring to the table when it comes to taking care of our patients. The information that we provide to the clinician influences the medical treatment a patient will receive.
My personal motto for the Siteman Cancer Center:
“One Team One Fight and the Enemy is Cancer”
